Nassau Bahamas Currency Weather

When I was a little girl growing up in Cleveland, I thought all bodies of water looked like Lake Erie; brown and muddy. The brochures we saw for places like Hawaii and the Caribbean must have been fake … Blue-green water? Really? No way. And, although I had been to the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, those bodies of water certainly did not resemble the colored photographs in magazines or travel catalogs. So, it took years … years … to convince me that these tropical paradise waters actually did exist. The first time I recognized the truth in those advertised brochures was when I traveled to Australia on my honeymoon with my husband, Jeff. We spent two weeks traveling around the country "down under," including visits to the Outback (desert areas including Ayer's Rock) and the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkeling in the reef was amazing; the water was an aqua-deep blue color that I can still see in my mind, and many beaches were white with very fine sand. Upon determining that such beautiful water does exist, thus began my continuing quest to find blue-green waters, powerful beaches and more affordable vacations.

The “B” Vacation

We hope to take a “B” vacation every few years in order to recharge our “Batteries.” Jeff works some 70 hours a week or more, so it becomes necessary to stick him on a Beach, get him a Book and some Beer. He can grow out his Beard, check out the Babes in Bikinis and Buy me a Bauble. Basically, Be a Bum.

Our Travels

Beginning with our honeymoon in Australia (visiting Cairns, the Great Barrier Reef, the Outback desert/Alice Springs and Sydney) our travels have taken us to the Caribbean and Mexico; Most recently to Curacao but also to Cozumel, Cabo San Lucas, twice to Cancun, Grand Cayman, and twice to Nassau, Bahamas. We’ve also hit a few places closer to home (Canada, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Kentucky, New Orleans, San Diego, Kansas City, Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston, New York and areas around the great state of Ohio.) I might be missing something, here ...
